In 1988 I came in contact with the world of animation as I started my job as a decor and props builder at the former Toonder Studio’s in Nederhorst den Berg.
After 8 years, in 1996, we grabbed the moment and I became co-founder and co-owner of our own animation studio Pedri Animation B.V.
At Pedri we have worked on all sorts of productions, like children series, commercials, social media productions as well as complete feature films etc.
In the last 23 years at Pedri we delivered around 350 national and international productions and many of them have been awarded.
As CEO I also had my share of running the company.
Now it’s time for a change, time to put more focus on my passion.
So from January 2019 I want to go back to the core of the business and follow this passion: solving problems in all facets of stop motion animation, on the creative side as well as the executive side.
MY EXPERIENCE
CREATING
Together with the client I think along in the creative process and solve problems in the technique of stop motion production.
I always look for a balance between the feasibility and the intended result within the question asked.
STOPMOTION SOLUTIONS
Creating and realizing props and animatable props in any desired material and focused on their use in stop motion animation.
PROPS
Think out and create sets on scale for productions in stop motion animation from level simple on to complex.
SETS
Often people think that postproduction takes place after the animation process is completed, one may think of the cleaning of rigs, correcting little glitches in the animation and the compositing of the images. However, this process of postproduction starts before even the first image is recorded. A lot of time and money can be saved by sometimes making adjustments to the storyboard, thinking out how and where to place the rigs and the props etc.

I create props, animatable props and sets for animation productions, using any material and any tool to achieve the desired result.
Conversion from 2D designs/drawings to 3D objects or sets, taking into account the applicability in stop motion animation.

Very advanced and experienced in working with Adobe computer programmes, Photoshop, Premiere-Pro, After-Effects, Media-encoder and in setting up workflow and pipeline for complex postproduction processes.

I am able to think along from concept to end product and I contribute and realize components for stop motion projects, whether it is an animatable prop or a complete moving set.
In the studio I can support you with Dragonframe and with the programming of Motion Control.
